As I was scrolling through all of the links from last weeks party,
a few crafty home decor ideas commanded my attention.
I mean crafty in a way that these projects are full of charm and elegance.
What I’m not talking about is 35 ways to make things out of popsicle sticks.
or child-centric pilgrims and Indians made out of toilet paper roll projects.
That’s not to say I shun those types of projects
or wouldn’t enjoy doing them with my niece and nephew because I would.
What I’m talking about today are grown-up crafting ideas!
Besides being fun little DIY’s and a way to exercise creative energy,
there is something charming about handmade decor.
Just a few touches here and there
has the ability to give a room a bit of interest and some personality.
Not to mention handcrafted decor is original works of art that often help get the conversation moving along.
Let’s have a look at what our featured bloggers cleverly designed
and shared with us at last weeks Thursday Favorite Things party.
Stylish Adult Home Decor Craft Ideas..
Knives Aren’t Just For Cutting Steak?
Penny- Penny’s Vintage Home blog is always a delight to look through.
What caught my eye was her Unique DIY Pumpkin Stem Ideas.
Festive Dollar Store Decor Crafts
Rebeca, from Lincluden Life Cottage,
has a beautiful way of mixing and matching high-end styles with
just the right amount
of DIY to bring personality into each room of her home.
Check out her DIY Dollar Store Mantel Garland that she made in preparation for a Halloween party.
Allow A Colorful Drink To Work As Decor Too!
Something as simple as food and drink can work decoratively too.
It offers aesthetic beauty, but with a functional purpose.
Colleen of Shibley Smiles shared a delicious Spell Binding Sipping Potion
using black raspberry, pomegranate, grape juice, strawberries and club soda.
Doesn’t that sound refreshingly delicious?
I consulted with some of my bartending friends to find out what
might work to make this an adult beverage.
They said a dash of Absolute Cranberry Vodka or maybe even rum would work.
Not An Average Throw Pillow DIY
Claire from Pillar Box Blue shared a delightful Decorative Pillow DIY
modeled after luggage tags with a travel theme.
