Day 3
If you're arriving from Raising A Farmhouse welcome! I trust you found Summer's home and unique style every bit as beautiful as I do.
You are on Day 3 of It's A Wonderful House Christmas Home Tours.
This week we have 16 fabulous decor bloggers sharing their homes decked for the holidays. If you're looking for inspiration, you're in the right spot! We have a variety of styles to share with you.
Now, let's step into my home and I'll take your around the main living area that includes the living room and dining area.
Romantic French Farmhouse christmas... sort of
Christmas is my most favorite time of year and I usually have more than a few trees decorated each year. Today, I'm sharing two of them in the main living area.
But first, I have to tell you something.... here in Alaska some things are little backwards. One of them is our homes floorplan.
The main living area is all upstairs which includes the kitchen, main living room, master bedroom and dining room.
As you come up the stairs this pretty little corner will greet you.
This year I've incorporated more shades of pink than I usually do. Last year, it was all about the Frenchy blues and whites. You can check out the French Blue Christmas Home Tour here.
A little of everything... FRENCH, VINTAGE, FARMHOUSE christmas
This year I was in the mood for a little more vibrant color tucked in here and there.
On the shelves, I added a few bits of fresh cedar pine tied with satin ribbon from a Christmas many years ago. It has been a while since my collection of vintage ornaments came out to celebrate the season so I decided to find a place for them on my little French country shelves.
Don't they look pretty up there? It was a bit too dark to get a close-up so I'll be sharing the little spaces in a future holiday post.
On the backs of the tall barstools, I repeated the look by attaching more greens and ribbons to the back.
The fireplace is one of the most difficult areas for me to style. Cedar garland consistently works the best on here but the allergies are already kicking in.
I may take this down and do something entirely different.
And here's a look at my favorite Christmas tree dressed in pink and white this year.
It's incredibly realistic, has quite a bit of flocking and looks pretty no matter what she wears. Last she wore gold and white and was decorated with icicles.
Just one more look as we head into the dining area to take a look at the table set with whites, cream, and pops of red.
I used my Christmas dishes pairs with gold flatware..... Umm... so I couldn't find the knives and I have no idea where I tucked them for safe keeping.
Hey.... who needs a knife anyways when they're eating a bowl full of fresh tart cranberries anyway?
Hopefully, I find them before Christmas day!
This tablescape is one of the easiest ones I've ever created! The centerpiece is just this large basin bowl filled with creamy winter white ornaments and a few touches of gold.
I placed old brass candlesticks on a couple of vintage saucers and piled cranberries high on top to bring in some festive color.
That's all there is to it if you are looking for an easy 5-minute Christmas centerpiece idea.
Now we are turning around and heading out with a few last looks at the spots I've shown you.
I sincerely hope you've gathered some nesting ideas to carry into your holiday home this year. I'd like to invite you back to see more of my holiday home this month and whatever else might strike my fancy to share.
There might be a little baking gone on and some other fun treats for the doggy family members too. We can't forget about Sebastians Pup-tree. He didn't want to pose for me today so I'll show you one of his favorite sleeping spots during Christmas.

More Christmas Decor!
He's still recovering from major knee surgery back in August but I promise he'll perk up once he see's "his" ornaments and tree come out of boxes.
Okay, now really, I have to send you on your way over to visit my friend Kristin at White Arrows Home. Her style is unique and perfectly Christmas in every way!

Olivia, your house is so beautiful! The white and soft pinks are so elegant!
Your house is so pretty, Olivia! I love your romantic style and your use of pastels in your Christmas decor. I hope your sweet Sebastian feels better soon. He looks quite content under that tree!
Oh Olivia, your home is absolutely stunning I just adore the soft and whimsical palette! You do french country perfectly
Hi Olivia…I love how romantic your home feels! The pastels with the pops of color are so pretty. And your flocked Christmas tree is gorgeous! Thanks for putting this tour together!
Your house looks so beautiful decked out for the holidays. I love cedar garland on the mantle – unfortunately I discovered this year that I also have an allergy to it! I just love all of the pastels you used with the touches of pink. Your picture of Sebastien is adorable – that is how I feel right now, tuckered out after Thanksgiving!!
Oh, Olivia, your tour is just stunning! I love your tree and all your greenery! Too bad your allergies can’t take the month off! The picture of Sebastian is priceless!
Girl! This is SO beautiful! i am loving the pairing of new and old.. and all that PINK! Now I totally get why Christmas is your favorite time of the year! 🙂
You are teaching me that beauty and elegance is in all the little details. The satin ribbon on the mirror is the final little touch that makes the mirror standout. As always everything in your post is perfection. My favorite colour is blush pink so your tree is breathtaking for me.
Such a gorgeous tour! I can’t wait to talk more about this post with you. Too much to write. Loved it!
Oh Olivia! Your home looks so beautiful! I love all the soft romantic touches, especially your Point shoes! Thank you for organizing such a marvellous tour! Happy Holidays!
